Intercessors International

Report on the gathering of intercessory leaders, held in Jerusalem, May 20-26.

A representative group of Intercessory Prayer Groups from 11 nations, including Intercessors for Australia,  met in Jerusalem for a week to pray for Israel and to share as Intercessory leaders, on the spiritual issues that are evident world-wide. 

Denis Clark, Alex Buchanan and Lance Lambert, all from England, formed the leadership. Lance, with his background as a Messianic Jew, threw new light on the Word of God relating to spiritual warfare and the whole realm of intercession for Israel to fulfill her destiny in these end times.

The Intercessors, joined by local Christians and a group from England, prevailed in prayer against the spirit of terrorism and lawlessness in several nat-

ions. However the main prayer-thrust during the week, was for the breaking of the monolithic spiritual stronghold of religiosity over Jerusalem. Prayer was sustained against the three powerful satanic forces which have dominated Jerusalem in the past—Mohamedism, dead Judaism, and dead Christianity. The prayer week, was in effect, a spiritual commando-raid which encouraged the local Christians to continue to pray that Jerusalem would be delivered  from its counterfeit religions.

The time of sharing with the leaders of the Intercessory Groups, enabled us to see corporately, something of the global strategy of Satan's attacks upon nations and the need to discern the real issues at stake.

The real priority for the Church in this day is; intercession before the throne of God.
