[Reflection on Adelaide Convention]
Anonymous
[7] I AM thankful that I went over to the Adelaide Convention; it was a time of unity and blessing. For years I have wondered just what is the difference between knowledge and wisdom. In my own mind I thought they embraced almost the same thing-that a person that was wise had much knowledge, and the reverse, a person that knew much was wise-but one afternoon, to my joy, Bro. Beruldsen gave a talk on this subject.
He beautifully brought out this point. Take, for instance, two men, each having a knowledge of business. One applies wisdom to his knowledge, and is a great success; the other is unwise in all his undertakings, and is a failure. Then very clearly I could understand the "Gifts of the Holy Spirit" in 1 Cor. 12: 8. The Word of Wisdom and the Word of Knowledge are entirely different gifts, but allowing the Holy Spirit to operate these two gifts through His servants, how great a blessing others will derive. But, on the other hand, we may possess much knowledge, and using it unwisely, will cause havoc to many; but may we ever be "A vessel unto honor" (2 Tim. 2:21).
ONE BLEST.
