Close-Ups with the Assemblies: Townsville.

Charles G. Enticknap

[12] Townsville (Pastor C. G. Enticknap).-It is now three months since our last report was sent to the "Messenger,"

but we are happy to say that the Lord has been blessing the work here in the following manner.

During the latter end of December, two Brothers and four Sisters followed our Lord through the waters of Baptism at Sandy Crossing, Boss Creek. A large number of the Assembly gathered to witness the ceremony and also a goodly number of onlookers1 were present to whom it was a witness.

God is also blessing the work at Stewart's Creek Prison, especially during the last two visits, when a number were visibly touched by the message of the Cross, and two men have openly confessed their need of the Saviour and have shown a real desire to serve HIM. We covet your prayers for these men.

Another pleasing feature in the work here is the new Sunday School, commenced in a private home at Hyde Park, one of the suburbs. Already twenty scholars are enrolled and keen interest and enthusiasm is shown by all concerned.

During the period since last our report was sent in, we were happy to be able to renew our fellowship with Pastor W. J. Enticknap, who was in our midst for a few days.

We could not close this report without reminding you of our Easter Convention, for which we are earnestly praying that God will bless abundantly as in previous years. We ask you to pray for the Convention, and also come yourself and receive a real Pentecostal blessing. Amen.
