AN APPEAL BY THE COMMONWEALTH CHAIRMAN
Dear Readers,
I feel constrained to pass on to you through the pages of the "Evangel" a few thoughts which have been in my mind for quite a while now.
If you are happy in this Pentecostal way, then you will be filled with a desire to get this wonderful full gospel message into the hearts and homes of the people in every way possible. We cannot all be preachers; then we must find a way in which we can help the Lord's work, for we each are labourers together with God. I am sure you enjoy the "Evangel!” Then why not make up your mind to get this little white-winged messenger of the Full Gospel into the homes of your friends and acquaintances?
At present the "Evangel" is not paying its way, and as far as certain improvements in the publication of the paper—which were suggested at Conference, we are, through lack of funds unable to carry into effect. We need your kindly interest and support in this vital matter. To put the "Evangel" on a proper working basis, we are in need of £100. I believe if you, my dear reader, will realise this Pentecostal message can be propagated through the pages of the paper, you will not only subscribe yourselves, but you will pray earnestly that the Lord will undertake at this time and bring His Sovereign will to pass by supplying this need.
As Commonwealth Chairman, I appeal to you to do your utmost for truly I believe that helping to supply this real need is doing the Will and work of our Blessed Lord.
May God abundantly bless you all is the prayer of the Commonwealth Chairman.
(Signed) C. L. GREENWOOD.
