AN ABC OF THE GOOD LIFE.

Compiled from the Sayings of Jesus.

A ll things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. (Matthew vii., 12).

B lessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. (Luke xi., 28).

C ast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye. (Luke vi., 42).

D efraud not. (Mark x., 19).

E xcept ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven (Matthew xviii., 3).

F ear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew x., 28).

G ive to the poor. (Mark x., 21).

H e that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much (Luke xvi., 10).

I t is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God. (Luke xviii., 25).

J udge not, that ye be not judged. (Matthew vii., 1).

U nto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other. (Luke vi., 29).
